It’s spring and we’ve caught the fever. We’ve grown weary of covering up and bundling up and all those layers. We feel that unmistakable warmth in the air and we’re ready to feel free again. We want to feel the sun shining down on our faces and the warm breezes against our bare skin.

This years spring styles are described as breezy and feminine. Dresses abound in wonderful colors and fabrics. The length is optional with most styles very short, or just above the knee. Suits are easier too with designers favoring short trapeze shapes for jackets and pants with wide legs. Black and white is the color as is cream and blush. The designers haven’t forgotten about color, the offer wild yellows and blues, and metallics to be worn both day and night.

Spring handbags have vibrant colors and sun washed shades. You’re going to leather in many different finishes, patent leather, Italian vachetta and supple rustic pebble grains rendered in vibrant reds and purples are accented with bold gold toned chain handles. Our perennial spring favorites of canvas and raffia are still being used. Fabric and appliqué bags are showing up for spring as are bold buckles and stitching.
