Now the cool, crisp days of autumn have turned decidedly windy and cold. The dark days of winter seem never ending. Snow is falling and Old Man Winter’s grip is tight. Everything seems a bit gloomier this time of year, except for the clothes….

The fashions of winter are playful and warm at the same time. We’re layering soft turtlenecks under jackets and wearing longer skirts. Since we have to wear coats during the winter, why not make them trendy? The boots we’re wearing these days are a bit more utilitarian as they need to get us through the ice and snow as we go about our daily routine. We look forward to arriving to our final warm and dry destination and putting on the fashion boots that we really want to wear. The beauty of fashion is the way it changes how we feel. How we feel about us, and the world around us. Our winter handbag choices are sleeker and more stylish in a way than they were in fall. Like our suede and fur trimmed boots, we’ve grown a bit weary of all the buckles and brass riveting and adornments of our fall bags and we’re looking for something a bit more sophisticated.
