We love to follow all the latest fashion trends, the latest affordable fashion trends that is. Here are what we’ve found are going to be the latest trends for winter fashion (depending on what expert fashion site you visit) structured suits, preferably in black, oversized tweed coats, anything in a rich purple color, gigantic handbags, waistlines, fitted shift dresses, stylish silhouettes, fur, plaids, velvet, to name just a few.
All that said we still believe that the best trend is the one you’re going to be comfortable in, and one that isn’t a flash-in-the-pan. When I look at my fall and winter wardrobe I see tweed, plaid, velvet, corduroy and beautiful deep rich colors of purple, blue and green. But, even with all I already have in my fall and winter wardrobe I’m a sucker for a great simple dress. Something easy to pull over my head, and easy to wear.
Every wardrobe should include a wrap dress (or two or three or more). They’re universally flattering and easy to dress up or down. My favorite wrap dresses are the ones with pattern. Remember that pattern and color can actually make you look slimmer than black. The trick with choosing a flattering pattern is to make sure the pattern isn’t too big for your frame. If you’re petite you’ll want to go with a smaller print, if you’re plus size a bigger print will be more appropriate.

You can find universally flattering plus size wrap dresses, such as the gorgeous green velvet number above at Igigi.
